Paying for Care
There are a number of ways to receive support from North Tyneside Home Care Associates. In some circumstances, and subject to a 'needs assessment'. This can be requested from your Local Council.
Paying Privately – North Tyneside HCA has a number of private clients who pay for our services directly. Care packages can start from £7.50 per half hour.
Direct Payments - Direct payments are cash payments made to individuals who have been assessed as needing services, in lieu of social service provisions. The aim of a direct payment is to give more flexibility in how services are provided. By giving individuals money in lieu of social care services, people have greater choice and control over their lives, and are able to make their own decisions about how their care is delivered.
The law has been changed so that it is a duty for Council's to make direct payments. This means that councils must make a direct payment to eligible individuals who are able to provide consent.
For more information about your eligibility to receive a direct payment, contact your local council.
Individual Budgets are designed to bring about independence and choice for people receiving care or support. It gives them a full understanding of the finance that is available, in order to empower them to take control and make decisions about the care that they receive.
For more information about your eligibility to receive an individual budget , contact your local council.
